Waves of Grief

Riding the waves of grief
Storms of sorrow
Ripples of pain
Crashing in my soul

Surfing the waves of mourning
Tides of regret
Tempests of guilt
Raging in my mind

Fighting the pain of tears
Seas of “if only”
Oceans of “why”
Eyes burning from grief

Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted (Matthew 5:4)

  1. I can really relate to this poem. All I have to say is that my crown in heaven is going to be weighted down after all the depression/mourning I’ve been through!

    Great choice of picture.
