Till Death do us Part

Osama, a loyal friend until the end

Osama, a loyal friend until the end

Meet Osama.
Please don’t judge him by his name!
Osama was a devoted friend and companion to my late father.
So devoted that for 3 days after my father’s passing,
Osama refused to eat or be comforted.
Instead, he grieved.
He lay beside my father’s grave and wept.
He mourned the loss of his master, his friend, his companion.

For me, this pure demonstration of loyalty is of tremendous sentimental value.
The vision of Osama’s act of love is so precious to me.
I’m moved to tears every time.
My father and Osama treasured each other.
The depth of their love was evident at the end,
Transcending the boundaries of life and death.

Friends, this is the face of true, undying friendship.

One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin,
but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother (Proverbs 18:24)

  1. Sending love for every tear, giving thanks you & your father had such a strong bond. One special man that also shared a strong bond with his furry companion, says a lot about his nature. Love & continued prayers, far away friend…

    • Oh I’ve missed you dear friend. And thank you for your kind words. My father did love nature and animals. It was very evident by the way he lived. I’m very grateful for these positive memories.

Trusting the Lord is keeping and upholding you!

  2. How touching. I’ve heard of dogs doing that. When Bob had a stroke several years ago our cat sat by the door and cried loudly. She was inconsolable until he finally came home from the hospital.

  3. So sad. What a sweet dog! I had a dog—a cocker spaniel—from the time I was in the first grade until the 11th. She was so sweet. I still miss her.

Thanks for sharing. Dogs are the best.
